CTD when Database button is depressed
When playing Multi-player games, scenarios will sometimes crash to the desktop when the Database button has been depressed.
[Edit] With the Patch 3.9.0 release, this issue no longer results in CTD. However, it is still erroneous.
This one was downgraded when 3.9.0 was released. It no longer results in CTD. The message returned is something akin to "Text file not found."
No single test file ever existed for this problem. The method to reproduce is to:
1) Create a new ANW installation
2) Install PlayersDB Library file to it
3) Create an MP server
4) Play a game on the server between two parties, neither of which is sharing a physical location with the server
5) Depress the Database button often to try and identify contacts
When the HarpGamer server hosting the PlayersDB was upgraded to 3.9.0, this was tested and the new error message was returned in lieu of a CTD.
The work-around solution implemented by Tony Eischens for the HarpGamer server was to simply copy the modified text files from the PlayersDB folder to all the other DB folders and also overwrite the default/backup *.txt files. Since then, only one CTD has been found during MP when the database button was depressed. We could not repeat it so it was not reported.
