CasoDB AMENDED - New Database and scenarios

No problems were found with the database (*.DAT) annex files. The extraneous [*.TXT] files were removed.

All 17 current scenarios for both ANW and HUE versions were re-built according to the revised CasoDB. The current version has been named 2015.07.01 to reflect 2015 July 01. If you wish a different date for the version number, indicate what it should be.

The new library files are ready for release at your discretion. No new scenarios have been appended.

That's terrific Herman! Thank you so very much! It is very much appreciated. I will upload the new battleset and scenario announcement the weekend of the 11th-12th. Have to re-synch the new scenarios with the updated database, and can't get to it before then because of some work stuff that has just gotten in the way of Harpoon business! (Hate it when real life interferes). Will work on it after hours and be ready to upload it on the aforementioned weekend. Thanks again Herman.

This is to announce the 4th Battleset of the Indochine Campaign, consisting of ten scenarios that occur during July-Aug of 2007.

As a stalemate begins to form across the world stage in the Indochine conflict, the balance of control is easily tipped one way or the other. Its first down, and ten to go at the fifty yard line. The question is, who has possession of the ball?

First, thanks for getting the stuff up on the library. I was planning on announcing on Wargamer, but for some reason, it wasn't taking my reply. I'll try it again and see if it was a temporary glitch.

So, I just tried again and no dice. I put in a question to the forum help desk, so maybe they have a solution. I can open the Reply window, but can't get my cursor to activate within the write window. Very frustrating. I think I've had this problem before with this forum, but don't remember how I got around it the last time.

I don't know if the link will work or not. Did you try both the "Reply" and "Reply with Quote" options? How about using a different browser?

I would not hold my breath with any support ticket for that site. They seem to ignore all the forum problems.

You might want to try copying the message from one of the other fora and then hitting either of the Reply buttons. Then, click on the reply window and hit Ctrl+V to paste the message into the window. The cursor might be absent, but the Ctrl+V command could just paste the message into the blank window.

I know. I've been able to post before, so that's the crazy thing. I did try both "Reply" and "Reply with Quote." I will try another browser, but first I'll try the copy/paste option. I'll let you know how it goes.

Okay so the answer was the browser. I now officially hate Internet Explorer! I did it on Google Chrome and it worked fine. So, all set! I've got it announced on 7 sites now. Working on the 5th of 10 scenarios for this battleset - life's good!!

Hi Herman,
Well my PC crashed. Was able to backup from the hard drive all my scenarios and personal files. Am going to reset the computer once the hard drive is diagnosed. What this all means of course is that I'll have to reload up the Harpoon game program once the computer is given a clean bill of health. I don't know if you remember, but I had some problems when I first loaded the game up on this computer. It wasn't recognizing some of the scenarios in the other Db's. When I get to the point where I reload the game (have a CD with a registration code so, good there), I may need you to walk me through the upgrades to get it up and running again. Hope you don't mind me asking for help - probably in a couple of weeks.

Hey Herman,

Well I have my computer back and its running like a top. I have a hard copy of Harp ANW and my serial reg #. Before I sytart, what's the best way to reload up the game, and how should I get the patches, and which ones do I need etc?
