Okay all that makes sense. I wasn't thinking in terms of the finished scenarios, but scenarios I'm working on. Do those remain unmolested, or if not, do I put them in a temporary file, and readd them after the update?

Only the files you sent for inclusion within the the Installation files will be over-written. Unless you have sent your works-in-progress for addition to the Installation files, you should be fine. If you wish to be cautious, you can move your temporary works-in-progress to another folder and then return them once you finish running the Installation file.

Hey Herman,

It's been quiet on my end for the past few months, but not because I haven't been active with Harpoon scenarios. Been busy with work and family. However, I have 4 scenarios built and tested ready to go public to open my next battle set as well as six more in the pipeline planned to finish out that battle set. When convenient for you, I'll upload the first one, plus the appropriate announcements.

Cheers,
Alan

Is this something new? Another words, is this something I can do on my own now, or should I upload the scenario and you install it as before?

No, nothing has changed. You can release your scenarios at any rate and time of your convenience and discretion. They will duly be added to the Library installer as they appear.

Hey Herman,
One more thing. I decided to add the ANS Weapon to the Munitions General magazine. Once I do that, save Annexes, Generate a Signature, and resave all my scenarios, do I upload the Caso Db again for the library? And, what happens to all the scenarios already in the library?

Yes, post the revised CasoDB annex files and signature for inclusion with the Library.

All of your scenario files should be re-built with the revised CasoDB so that the changes will be implemented within the scenarios. You can do this yourself for each scenario via the Re-build process as shown in:

Lesson 58 Batch Rebuild [ANW]
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=McLdpQa ... 3&index=19

The scenarios would then be posted on this thread for inclusion. Should you elect to conduct this process on your own, I strongly advise you to pay strict attention to details else you may end up wiping out much of the information within your scenarios.

Or, you can ask me to perform this process on your behalf before the scenarios are added to the Library.

I gotta say that the whole Re-build process scares the daylights out of me. I've watched Lesson 58 Rebuild over and over and though I understand it, it freaks me out. I would be very appreciative if you could do it. Or, I can re-save all my scenarios in the scenario editor after I make the Db change and upload all the scenarios again if you'd like. Let me know.

Thanks,
Alan

Hey Herman I also thought of something else. Where should my Database 394 Editor be located so that it edits the Caso Db only? It shouldn't be in the general Harpoon folder right? It should probably be in the Caso Db folder shouldn't it?

I will update all the CasoDB scenarios before adding them to the Library. Just post the new scenario(s) you wish to add.

The Harpoon3Editor394 should be placed within the general Harpoon folder. It will open whatever database is currently selected by the Configuration Launcher's Database Manager tab. If CasoDB is the one selected by the Configuration Launcher, the Harpoon3Editor394 will open it every time it is launched.

Here's the Caso Db with the new addition of the ANS weapon for the Munitions - General Magazine. The Db has been trimmed down for zipping (like I did the last upgrade), but I noticed there's some text files in the Db folder. You might check them out to make sure they are not problematic or indicative of a problem Thanks, Alan

No problems were found with the database (*.DAT) annex files. The extraneous [*.TXT] files were removed.

All 17 current scenarios for both ANW and HUE versions were re-built according to the revised CasoDB. The current version has been named 2015.07.01 to reflect 2015 July 01. If you wish a different date for the version number, indicate what it should be.

The new library files are ready for release at your discretion. No new scenarios have been appended.
