CasoDB AMENDED - New Database and scenarios

I took the scenario and tested the On Station ViCond for the arrival of 14 ships. I damaged the Zuiderkruis about 8% and it still managed to fulfill the requirement. I am not seeing a problem. Do you have a saved game file of the event? I have not been able to replicate the phenomenon, at this time.

That's reassuring. I do, in fact have saved games, at three stages. One is early in the game - barely 4 hours in but with the suspect unit, the FFG Monmouth still undamaged. The second is about an hour and a half before the end, and has the Monmouth @ 62% and located in the Reach Area polygon. The last saved game, and the one I've attached is only a couple of minutes before the end of the game. You can let it run thru to the end and check out the aftergame evaluation. Before it runs out, you can double check that all the required ships are present. It will run out at 16:04:59.
Either way, I feel pretty confident that this is a solid game, and my problem is probably a unique aberration very difficult to recreate.
Let me know what you think, but I am ready to release this bad boy.

I think I found the problem. Your ViCond requires the presence of FFG Tiboobura and there is a Darwin-class frigate sunk. There is no Tiboobura in the area so I think it must have been the ship sunk. There are only 13 of the 14 required vessels from your ViCond list within the designated area.

Ah, excellent! For the life of me I couldn't figure it out, and it was right there in plain sight. Nice piece of investigative work. What threw me is that I was unaware that I lost a ship in the Kimberley Group. Sometimes the most obvious things seem most hidden. I think this is ready to go, so I've attached the scenario. Let me know when it has been added to the library and I'll make the announcement. Thanks again for that handy piece of detective work. Cheers, Alan

09 The Perth Incident

EAST INDIAN OCEAN:
Indonesia/Malaysia/W Australia:

Barely past the second month of the war, and Perth finds it's extensive naval base blockaded with mines. Enemy subsurface forces managed to find a way in and mined all deep sea-lane approaches to the naval facilities in the harbor.

With their embarrassment complete, the commanding officers and staff assigned to Perth have tendered their resignations effective immediately, and the incoming command staff has been left with the unenviable task of fixing a most disastrous situation. Compounding the problem is the fact that a large number of Allied ships, which were in port after conducting combined fleet exercises now find themselves bottled up in Perth. Worse still is the fact that the 2nd newly refitted Iwo Jima-class carrier, HMAS Kimberley, is soon to arrive with escorts and auxilliaries on a lend/lease program - all laden with supplies. With Allied assets locked up in port, is the HMAS Kimberley walking into an Indochine orchestrated trap?

The clock is ticking to get an escort out of the harbor, and in a position to offer assistance to the newly arriving carrier group and convoy.

10 Fortress Adak

North/Northwest Pacific -
Aleutian Islands:

Adak is reinforced by US and Canadian forces after the Attu evacuation, but a large Indochine invasion is in progress. Operating from their newly conquered islands of Attu and Kiska, the Indochine strike force threatens the survival of the US mission on Adak.

Allied forces must repel the invasion and prevent the Indochine Alliance from securing a complete grip on the Northwest Pacific, which would threaten the US mainland and Allied supply of Japan.
