Making Consistant-looking Announcements

Hey Herman,

I always have a devil of a time getting the colors and font sizes the way I want them when I make announcements for my scenario releases on the different forums. They never come out the same which is why my announcements have no continuity. How do you always have such consistency with your announcements on all the different forum formats?

Would love to know the secret.
Best,
Alan

I find an existing message of mine that already works and then copy it to use as a template for that forum. When new announcements are made, I simply enter the new details to replace the old material before posting it to the forum. Because each forum uses different software employing different formats, I use one template for GameSquad/HpHQ, another one for Matrix/WarGamer, and one more for SimHQ.

If you cannot be bothered to keep additional files, simply "Quote" a pre-existing message you see that works and then:

1) Remove the Quotation Mark tags
2) Replace the old info with your new data

That's a great suggestion. To make your copy files do you copy into Word, or what?

My announcement templates are on Notepad so as to avoid any possible format settings in Microsoft Word.

Got it. Thanks for the tip!
